Building for exposure
Out towards Berry Head and above Freshwater there is very little shelter. Fence runs that would stand for years inland come down here in a single winter if the posts are shallow or the panels are light.
We go deeper on posts, brace where a run is long, and talk honestly about whether a solid fence, a slatted screen or a wall is the right answer for a particular boundary. A screen that lets some wind through often survives where a solid panel does not.
Small, steep, stone-walled plots
The older terraces climbing away from the harbour have small gardens, awkward access and a lot of existing stone. That makes them a careful, hands-on job: material in by barrow, spoil out the same way, and work built to sit with the stone that is already there.

Brixham: common questions
Will a standard fence survive in Brixham?
Not reliably on the exposed boundaries. We would rather set heavier posts deeper, or suggest a slatted screen that lets the wind through, than replace a panel fence for you in two years.
Can you work on a small harbour-side garden?
Yes. Tight access is normal here; it means more hand-work, and we build that honestly into the fixed price.
Do you cover Churston and Galmpton?
