Our story
From the trade, to his own name on the van
PC Landscaping was built out of thirty years on site rather than out of an office. That shapes who we help, what we take on, and how far we travel to do it.

Qualifications & cover
- National Diploma in Amenity HorticultureFormal training in soft landscaping, planting and ground care.
- Level 2 Diploma in CarpentryThe structural side: decking frames, garden rooms, gates and pergolas.
- £2 million public liabilityPublic liability cover. The two self-employed tradesmen working alongside Phil are covered under the same policy.
Who we help
Homeowners who want the job done once
Most of our clients are householders across South Devon who have been let down by a quick fix before, or who simply don't want to go through the job twice.
What we specialise in
Hard landscaping and outdoor construction: paving, patios and driveways, garden and retaining walls, fencing, decking, garden rooms and pergolas, and full garden design and renovation. Groundwork, masonry, carpentry and planting are all handled in-house.
Depth of experience
30 years across landscaping and construction, with formal qualifications in both horticulture and carpentry. That combination is why a deck frame, a retaining wall and a planting scheme can all come from the same team.
Where we work
From our base in Denbury, near Newton Abbot: Teignbridge, Torbay, Exeter and the South Hams. Staying inside that radius keeps site visits, deliveries and aftercare straightforward.
Mission and standards
Build it properly below the surface, and the rest looks after itself
Almost every landscaping failure we're called out to inspect started underground, a thin sub-base, no drainage, a wall without a proper footing.
Our standard is simple: the parts you can't see are specified to the same level as the parts you can. Sub-bases are built to suit the ground and the load, falls and drainage are designed in before the first slab is laid, footings are dug to depth, and timber is fixed so water can get away from it.
We work one job at a time wherever possible. That means the person who priced your project is on site building it, the programme doesn't stall while the team is pulled elsewhere, and questions get answered by the person who can actually decide.
Pricing is fixed. The figure comes from the measured area and the labour the work genuinely needs, so you know it before we start. An hourly rate applies only to unforeseen or additional work, and we raise it with you at the time rather than at the end.
One point of contact
You speak to Phil about the design, the price and the programme. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a site foreman, because there aren't any.
Specialists brought in properly
Electrics and plumbing for garden rooms are subcontracted to qualified trades and coordinated around our build programme, you're not left chasing anybody.
We finish before we move on
Jobs are sequenced so your garden stays usable where possible, and the site is cleaned down at the end of each working day.

Enquiries are answered during working hours, 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday. We don't run a weekend or emergency callout service: site visits are arranged inside those hours so you get Phil's full attention rather than a rushed look on the way to somewhere else.
